This is a high quality grill all inclusive. This grill is too heavy for what we wanted it for so returned &got a similar grill that is 1/2 the weight. The seller gave EXCELLENT customer service.I love this skottle cook top! Have cooked several meals on it now. It is super easy to clean and food cooks fast on it! Box was pretty broken up when it arrived though. May want to rethink your packaging. Delivery people are hard on stuff! 1 leg got dented and the lid was out of round when packaging was opened. Lid was bent back in shape and leg dent slips inside clamp so no biggie. Would definitely get another!I bought this for camping but I've been using it in my back yard for deep frying (shallow frying) and it works great! Trying out all my camping recipes at home first and so far I'm super happy with the results. The cast iron skittle came pre-seasoned and clean up is super easy. My only suggestion is to include an option for a propane connection to a normal sized tank. It only connects to the small disposable tanks unless you buy an expensive specialty hose to connect to a larger tank.We take this on every overlandiing trip. It is compact with quick setup. We really like that we can remove the scottle and use the burner to make coffee or cook with other cast iron. Everything has held up well with heavy use.We like the cast iron cooktop. It holds the heat well. It also makes the whole rig feel very sturdy and balanced. I certainly would not want to backpack with this. But, for JEEP excursions, it is perfect. It is a good idea, but with the price and weight, it isn't worth it. The bag is a piece of crap. One of the straps broke the first time I picked it up, but I was able to tie it together instead. The propane tip rips a hole in the back of the bag. The removable disk plate for the burner isn't worth it, which was the main selling point for this over a tembo tusk. Now after using this one, I wouldn't use either.. The skottle just isn't a very good cook system. It is either not hot enough or scorched earth. Plus, using this thick of cast iron in the winter takes forever to heat up, especially because the heat doesn't transfer well. If you were set on using one, I'd recommend to DIY one because it would be just as good. Blackstone flat grill is better for cast iron or your basic coleman stove with pans are better as well.I had hoped that the heavy cast iron would distribute the heat more evenly a thin steel surface. It does... but not particularly so. The burner does not put out enough heat for this application. Forget ‘crisp’.The legs do not adjust for height. You either dig holes to adjust height or put up with the cooking oil off center and in a cold zone.A stiff breeze will destroy the ability of the burner to effectively heat the pan.The lid is incredibly thin sheet metal and bends easily. Think ‘tin foil’. It will NEVER retain its shape after bouncing around in the bag with the cast iron pan. This thing is too heavy to be lugging around in an overland/offroad rig. I doubt I’ll ever take it out on a second trip.PS: Too expensiveGreat product. Its like a transformar. You can take it apart and use the pieces separately. Better than the competition (Tim__Tu__).
